Introduction to the Philosophy and Writings of Plato Thomas Taylor 9781490568089 Books
Contrary to the opinion of one review, Thomas Taylor was not writing to impress his college professors. He was an 18th century Neoplatonist whose translations were influential on William Blake, Percy Bysshe Shelley and William Wordsworth. In American editions they were read by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson Alcott, and G. R. S. Mead, secretary to Mme Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy. As a kindred spirit of the Greek philosophers he translated, Taylor's translations have a different flavor from the common translations of the Christian theologian Benjamin Jowett.Product details

very good
Fast
still reading it. Worth the time.
Free stuff is always awesome haha. On a serious note a must read if you want to start from somewhere
Written in such a way that it is not really helpful. Much better just to start reading Plato's work.
great book
A person should understand how the framework of society developed. If you know the science, it's much easier to understand things developed in applied science.
