Despite this book's simplistic cover, and it's quick read, it is filled with intriguing complexity and left me not only curious to turn every page, but wanting to know the author. Stone Upon Stone is thought-provoking and leads you to examine your own journey and relationships on a deeper level. Kudos to Mr. Barnett

Received this book today. It is an easy read, and makes you feel GOOD! You'll want to send one to the people in your life that you care about. Mr. Barnette has simply put into words a beautiful story about relationships. This book is timeless, and shares good insight into life. The proceeds support a great organization, too!
I loved Stone upon stone's stylized illustrations and coruscating clarity. Brian Barnette's simple use of metaphor lays bare the truth behind humankind's self-destructive tendency to compound what should not be compounded in the first place. It's a soothing book that takes the reader back to an earlier age and - perhaps - a purer state of mind. I highly recommend this book, especially to those whose sense of perspective in life has been temporarily clouded or, even worse, obfuscated.
This book is just awesome! I won't spoil the story (it's one that you've just to read). It's a quick read, not heavy and drawn out. Even short, it is very thought provoking! I do have to confess it brought tears to my eyes! It's one that leaves you wanting more! I honestly would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is great reading for all ages!
