Luminaire Florence Waverley Book 2 eBook Ciye Cho
Really loved the second book in this little series. I really hope there are more. They broke my heart though, but compelled me to keep reading. I'm very anxious for more. I love the main characters and I was really pulled in by the first book. Finished both books much faster than I intended to! If you're into mermaid tales (no pun intended :P) or even if you aren't, this book is definitely worth a read, but read the first book first or you'll be a bit confused!Product details

Luminaire Florence Waverley Book 2 eBook Ciye Cho Reviews
Back with the next book! You know how I liked the first one? Well uh this one was even better. I love when each book in the series is better than the last. Really makes you want to keep reading the books.
Florence has decided to stay in the mer world. Things weren't so bad at first. She is the only human, but not everyone had a problem with that. She fits into this world, and has a prince. Then some time has gone by and things have started to fall apart. People aren't happy about her being a human and Rolan is being distant. So now Florence needs to figure all this out.
So it turns out that Rolan was worried for her. You see, Florence decided to enter this tournament, and well its a very tough one. Florence isn't full mer and who knows how she will do. Either come out on top or she can fail badly. But Rolan has no control over it, and just has to stay on the sideline. But as you read it, you really are on Florence's side. If she won, she would be proving so much to these people and even make herself feel like she really belongs here.
So what I really enjoyed was the writing, the details and how easily you can picture everything. The details just got better and I loved coming back to Florence's world. Its always a huge plus when the details get even better than the last book. Makes you really want to come back for the next books!
I received a copy of the book from the author for a honest review, this does not effect my opinion!
If you haven’t read my first review, then you might not know that I really love stories with mermaids in them. Florence is no exception to this love of mine. It’s colorful, simply wonderful and just a gosh darn good mermaid tale that (I think) is good for all ages!
The details and storytelling in this book are absolutely wonderful. The world of Niemela is thought out carefully, each aspect of their life just perfect. Were they eat, how they live, were they sleep, every detail is awesome. Also, everything is so colorful, even the mermaids have names for the colors which I think is so cool. No mermaid, so far that I know of, is the same color. Each are wonderful, some evil, in the best ways possible!
I love the new characters! My favorite is Wynn. He’s a thinker merman aspiring to be a warrior one. He’s intelligent and nice, that’s what I like most about him. Mara the daughter of Provonox who tries each life path and succeeds just so people know how good she is.
Evil characters in this book were really threatening. They face exiled mermaids who killed and stole, who use dark magic and charmed others. It seems like it’s almost impossible to get past these foes!
Of course old characters come back like Florence (the main character.) You find out more about her past life as a human and her mother, one of the things I liked most. She’s the same likable character who’s living in a magical -and colorful- world of mermaids. Also Rolan, *somewhat spoiler* now King, *end somewhat spoiler* is back and acting rather harsh towards Florence. He no longer seems to be the merman she fell in love with, there’s something dark is in his eyes, why is he so different? Well, the answer is in the book, and if you wish to know why I suggest you read it (I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!)
I didn’t like Luminaire as much as Florence but it was more action packed, heart pounding and thrilling! In this book the characters go through a maze to get their life path as mermaids (and well, a human). The maze isn’t a really nice place and it’s were the darkest monsters are this time. They face countless dangers not only living but natural as well. Underwater fire, evil mermaids, and other creatures of the Darkness. Some blame their troubles on Florence yet they all have to work together if they want to survive. With all the fighting and rivalry between the characters, is survival even possible? Find out in Luminaire!
You’d like Luminaire if you liked Florence, mermaids, fantasy, romance of colorful books!
I am currently on a mermaid kick and while this is okay, it didn't quite fill the void that I wanted to dive into.
I loved the story about Florence!!! I lived the first one and this sequal did not disappoint me at all!!! I can't wait for the next one!!!
I could not put this one down. I kept reading til I could not keep my eyes open!! I hope there is another story !!
I had doubts about buying this book. I fell in love with the characters. I felt like I was transported into another world.
I loved this book. The first book kept me waiting and waiting for the next installment, then finally it came. This book was perfect and left you wondering what exactly was going to happen next with Florence and Rolan. In the end the book leaves you wondering if the Darkness with continue to creep into the world of the mer with a certain fallen prince, and if Florence and Rolan with be able to survive.
Really loved the second book in this little series. I really hope there are more. They broke my heart though, but compelled me to keep reading. I'm very anxious for more. I love the main characters and I was really pulled in by the first book. Finished both books much faster than I intended to!
